Let us simplify the concept first. Everyone wants to grow. Companies grow as their clients and people grow. We work hard to ensure that our clients see us as valuable partners in their growth.

To be able to work hard and with great efficiency, our teams need to continue to have a sharp intellectual edge. In addition we, as an organization, also need to keep learning from people around us and our business our ecosystem. We also need to find ways in which exception talent outside Kuliza is able to engage with us in a mutually beneficial relationship. This is our talent engagement process.

Engaging Internal Talent

Training in technical and soft skills is the order of the day and we are forever striving to induct the most effective mechanisms of providing better intellectual stimulus to our staff in ways that outclass what our competitors do.

The other major parameter that differentiates us is that team learning is institutionalized in Kuliza. We take pride in being the true and upcoming enterprise that has espoused the concept of enterprise 2.0 and collaborative work and learning in the enterprise.

Our teams learn as they work. We learn from our peers, our reports and our bosses. We learn so that we get better with every passing day.

Engaging External Talent

We learn from all sources and continuously engage with experts in all fields – technical, research, managerial and more. Regular guest lectures, participations in seminars and forums serve as great enablers in this process.

We also strive to give back to the community. We try to tell professionals around us about what we learn while we work and build our clients and Kuliza. We use social media and a on the ground interactions to learn along with a large community of great professionals who work and enjoy growth and creativity in whatever they do.

All of this makes us become better professionals with greater energy. We direct this energy in being growth drivers for our clients.

People mean serious business to Kuliza and its clients. Technical expertise, ability to envision solutions, prowess to architect and design, the attitude to build and work with highly motivated teams and the knack to see the bigger picture are elements of professionals that make up the Kuliza DNA. We proudly call this DNA the ‘Agile DNA’ and this is the cornerstone of the recruitment process.

What We Expect

Technical abilities, skills of working in open source or proprietary technologies, architecting and design skills, ability to think about the entire product life cycle while maintaining a business savvy approach and leadership are all attributes in a team at Kuliza.

We expect that you should be able to stand up to every word that you have written in your resume. By this we mean that even when we cross-check your references, we should be able to verify what you have said. We expect a sound knowledge of fundamentals, the right attitude to work in growing teams, the ability to look into the future while developing products, always think about the bigger picture and think from the client’s shoes.

What Should You Expect

Amid all the grilling and informality expect the best professional ethics from all our interviewers. We are an equal opportunity provider and do not differentiate on any count other than the points of excellence that we have mentioned above.

The Process

Now that we have talked about things that are the most important to us, here is our process:

We scan through your resume for a fit

In case we decide that you are better suited for other organizations, we tell you the exact reasons why we think so

If you are present in the same city as we are or are open to travel, we would love to meet you in person. Otherwise the first few rounds are telephonic

We ensure that different team members talk to you so that we understand you better and you are able to gauge the nature of the work and the team – that helps both of us in taking decisions

If you clear the screen rounds and subsequent ones, we make it a point that you get a well-rounded big picture view from the hiring manager.

If at any stage, in between, we feel that with your interests and expertise, you could contribute better elsewhere (in a different team at Kuliza or other organizations), we tell you about it

When you are made an offer, we ensure that parameters on which you need to base your decision of joining us are laid out and that we are available and prepared for any of your questions

We want a fully satisfied professional joining us. That is the best known driver for any kind of growth
